* so before posting i was deciding on what to title this post and that's when the crazy coincidence hit me:

hmm funny, there's waterfalls in the photo.. i mentioned the twin peaks waterfalls in my last post! ohhhhhh... wait! this photo was taken that day we went to a dozen thrift stores in idaho.. WHICH WAS ONE YEAR AGO TODAY! so this photo, ironically, is a year old today.

honest, it was total coincidence.

ugh

so earlier this month, chris started interning at the yancey richardson gallery in chelsea. well, it just so happens to represent alex prager (crazy coincidence), which means that he gets to be around her prints all day long (and send me taunting photos like this from his iphone):

today he saw a stack of her editioned exhibition prints that were in a "to be destroyed" pile. i can't even imagine being the person who has to shred her work.

i don't know why he didn't take the pile and run. ugh, boyfriend! no fair!

ok, so maybe that wouldn't have been the smartest career move for him.

alex prager

for the past year or so i've been trying to figure out how i can afford an alex prager print. it's really all i want more than anything. maybe i can start one of those online fund raising blogs? or with the millions i win from playing the lotto with the girls at work. or maybe i can convince a wealthy investor to buy one and i can keep it safe here on my walls in tinton falls, nj? i suppose if i do come into a large sum of money, a new roof would take priority. that investor would never entrust me with a leaky roof.

i guess it's never going to happen. but a girl can dream can't she?

senior year

for those of you who don't know him, my boyfriend chris is graduating from SVA this spring. he went back to school 4 years ago after a long hiatus of traveling, touring the usa and europe with his band(s), buying a house and plain old living life. i remember how excited i felt when he told me he wanted to go back to school and study photography more. i'm really proud of him that he's come so far so quickly. the days of me helping him are long gone. so, even though i never went to art school, i still get schooled for free by him. and free adobe updates (thank you mo!) plus all the fun equipment i could ever want to borrow.

anyway, chris has really been working his tush off this semester. commuting back and forth to nyc 4 to 5 days a week. mentor meetings. proposals and artist statements. installations and slideshows. postcards and portfolios. senior thesis. exhibitions... to say he was stressing would be an understatement, but the work he has been producing has been fantastic. and i'm not just saying that because i date him. so proud
